Dispatch Methodology Overview

The simulator models a 24-hour period in 15-minute intervals. It offers four scenarios: Grid Only: Optimizes wholesale arbitrage. Grid+BOSS (Opportunistic): Considers BOSS dispatch for the whole battery if conditions are favorable after grid opportunities. Grid+BOSS (Dedicated - BOSS First): Dedicates a % of power to BOSS (runs if physically able and prioritized, up to Max BOSS Hours), remainder optimizes wholesale. Grid+BOSS (Dedicated - Grid First): Wholesale slice optimizes first with its % of power, then dedicated BOSS slice runs with remaining resources (up to Max BOSS Hours).

All scenarios assume a co-located, Behind-the-Meter (BTM) setup for BOSS. Dynamic thresholds are based on Day-Ahead forecasts. Decisions respect SoC, reserve, efficiencies, cycle limits, and Market Capture Rate (for grid revenue). Excludes Balancing Mechanism, FFR, Capacity Markets.
